T12 / Ecne - Gnome package is broken

I messed up my T11 installation and took the chance to install T12, though it is still only being tested.
I want to try the Gnome Desktop Environment, but sadly Synaptic tells me, that the gnome package is broken.
Is there something I can do to fix this?
I would use https://devel.switnet.org/test-isos/trisquel-netinst_12.0_amd64.iso and choose the "Trisquel GNOME environment". I believe the NetInstall proposes it. If you have missed it, executing the following command in a terminal should bring back the same option:
$ sudo tasksel
Yes, I saw that option and thought that in that case, gnome must be working under trisquel 12.
I wonder why it should work when installing via the netinstaller when it doesn't in an ordinary installation?
Are you saying that choosing the "Trisquel GNOME environment" in tasksel executed on "an ordinary installation" (do you mean the MATE edition?; you will end up with "two programs for most tasks" as https://trisquel.info/en/wiki/installing-gnome-shell explains) does not provide a GNOME environment? It is not clear you tried that. Your original post was referring to Synaptic rather than to tasksel.
So I may have misunderstood. I will try the sudo tasksel (tomorrow).
Thanks.
