Can't boot NetInstall

Hello
I tried to reinstall the system. Because I want to try KDE Plasma I downloaded the NetInstaller.
But the computer just won't boot from the USB drive. I wrote it with different methods and from a mac as well.
There do arrive files on the USB drive (see screenshot).
When I boot I choose "UEFI generic USB drive" (or so) and then it just gives me the regular choice to boot Trisquel or with advanced options.
Is there anybody who can help me?

Have you tried using dd?
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/USB_flash_installation_media#Using_dd
Yes I have.
I tried:
-"dd"
-That guide: https://trisquel.info/en/wiki/using-netinstall-image-bootable-usb-drive
-unetbootin (on a Mac)
-"USB live creator" doesn't recognize the iso as an image...
Make sure you've adjusted the BIOS to enable booting from a USBdisk; even if the installer makes the USB flashdrive bootable, in my experience it helps to mention something to the BIOS also.
When I go into the boot settings is have "UEFI" enabled and I have just the USB drive as a boot option.
Then it throws me on every boot back into the settings page.
Did you ever manage to boot any live USB key from this computer?
Yes when I installed Trisqel maybe a month ago... Weird.
What think you about the fact that the USB creator in Tisquel doesn't let me write the .iso file to the USB drive?
can you use a cd or dvd on this computer?
also when you write a iso to a usb stick
can you boot it on another computer?
The USB key may be damaged. Can you try with another one?
I will try another drive in the next days.
I don't have a DVD drive but my roommate has an external one...
All the other PCs in house are Macs... I'm not shure if they even can boot from suck a stick. But in theory it could work. They are all Intel.
Thank you for your advice!
I tried it with another drive but it does the same thing. Nothing.
I took two pictures of the settings and the boot window...
And I took a video to show that the USB-creator doesn't recognize the .iso file... https://www.u-cloud.ch/owncloud6/public.php?service=files&t=d8cd78585f05069293f73efcffb92448
PS: When I plug the drive into my mac disk utility says that there is no mount point...
Try to disable UEFI boot.
I just have given it another try with disabled UEFI.
Initially I was happy to see it acted different but I had no luck. Just an underline on a black screen appeared and continued to blink. I had a USB to Network adapter plugged in and the Internet works when running Tisquel...
One more question: should it be possible to create a bootable USB with the system integrated "USB creator" or not? Because I can make one with the "belenos" .iso file but not with the "Trisquel NetInstall" one.
I believe "USB creator" should be able to create a Netinstall. Never tried though. It may not be live (just an installer).
1.Has your computer got a CD drive?
2.If it has, and a CD-RW-reading one at that, have you got a CD-RW lying around?
3. If so, problem (sort of) solved :)
Regarding https://trisquel.info/en/forum/cant-boot-netinstall#comment-66198 , I think NetInstall ISOs are a bit 'special' compared to the other ISOs (I think the netinstall is rooted to Debian whilst the other ISOs aren't - might be wrong, though) so the incompatibility is probably to be expected.
It's also been said that 'normal' LiveUSBs won't work with Macs. http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-boot-a-linux-live-usb-stick-on-your-mac/ (I', not sure the software recommended there is free, though).
Thanks to both of you.
I managed to boot the "belenos" .iso so my machine can boot from USB.
@davidnotcoulthard: It is actually a Asus Zenbook (UX31 I guess).
I am going to use an external USB drive now.... Thans to all of you!
You mean CD drive?
Yes, I am sorry.
That works neither because that superdrive from apple won't run without drivers.
I can boot the disc on my old mac with an internal drive.... Maybe I will get a used drive for PC.
