Here's a quick little snapshot I made of the new Ubuntu forums first page on tutorials, it strikes me as interesting compared to Trisquel, which is based on Ubuntu, to contrast how they are different. Ubuntu is probably without contest the most widely used gnulinux distribution. It's interesting to me, for example
in the context of current events, to examine what people are talking about, or rather being lead to do with their computers. Trisquel tutorials revolve around for example, briefly, privacy, and performing basic tasks, without reliance on main stream, or proprietary solutions. Ubuntu might as well be the complete opposite. There's no good reason, furthermore, that Ubuntu's enormous audience, couldn't immediately be introduced to Trisquel at any time, who's support could tremendously benefit Trisquel.

We might immediately recognize, for example, there are no tutorials developed, for liberating an Ubuntu install, with Trisquel. There's also like a literal ton of people, and activity, compared to the ghost town that is trisquel right now.

The key themes I can identify are virtualization, isolation, of both applications, and development, and a reliance on proprietary hardware, software, and methodologies, as opposed to the very kind of self reliance that the GNU System emphasizes. There's also a key theme that revolves around integrating Ubuntu, the base of Trisquel, with proprietary operating systems specifically, developed by Google, and Microsoft. There are also tutorials directed at system administrators of servers, which should be of special interest given their importance....

What can you identify?
