How to use Jitsi (preferably web-browser version)

So, yeah, I tried it in Abrowser and it doesn't work, sends me right to the page about unsupported browsers and tells me I should use a Chrome browser.
I do have ungoogled-chromium installed but can't get the proxy settings for it to go through Tor so I would prefer not to use it.
Any other ideas? Searched apt for jitsi but can't find anything useful there, and the official appimage doesn't have proxy support as well.
I will be needing voice (and maybe video) calls soon, don't want to go to Google Meet (as some people have suggested me, which I am trying to avoid).

EDIT: Reason I am looking for Jitsi and not other options is because I will need to sometimes send a link to people who won't be going through the trouble of getting an account with an XMPP or anything, so just a link and they connect through their browser is really the best way. Also... not google ahha
I always use https://visio.chapril.org (I am a member of the April association). It recommends the latest version of Firefox and works as well with the current version of Abrowser on Trisquel.
Thanks! That seems to do the trick! Only tried getting into the chat conversation, had no one else there to confirm if the audio did work, but still no complaining about the browser and permissions seemed ok as well! Thank you MB!!

I installed Jitsi on a VPS hosted by OVH, it is with Debian 12, I installed Jitsi with adding the repository and just apt install as in the installation instruction, no tweaking at all. I use it for video calls with 6 people including me, I always use abrowser and it works fine.
I don't know whether that would be different with Debian 13, or with specific add-ons or configuration.
Same here. I run my own instance of Jitsi on a VPS running GNU/Trisquel. My instance works fine for 1-to-1 calls though the VPS only has 1GB of RAM. I have not tested with my more users on a single call.
