Clock disappears from taskbar

When I start Trisquel 7, there is a clock in the lower right hand corner of the screen.
By about the time that I want to find out the time, the clock is gone.
How can I make the clock stick ?

right click on the panel and select add to panel
then select the clock
if you want to move it around
press alt and then right click on the widget
