Installation step failed

Description

From neither the GUI nor CLI version of the Trisquel installation procedure I was I able to install GNOME.

Hardwares: USB 2.0 8Gb install on a Intel 520 Series 120Gb SSD disk on a AMD64 system
Software: Trisquel 6.0 i686 (not AMD64)

I get: [[!!]] Select and installation step failed ...The reason was: "Select and install software".

I wrote a much better bug report so this one should be removed completely.
