Running do-release-upgrade on my Blackbird, I get errors like:

Err http://ports.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-ports ecne-security Release
404 Not Found [IP: 91.189.92.19 80]

During the upgrade, my sources.list contains these lines:

deb http://ports.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-ports/ ecne-security main
deb-src https://mirrors.middlendian.com/trisquel-packages/ ecne-security main

This repo (ports.ubuntu.com) must be coming from the new distribution files, the relevant part in my current sources.list is:

deb https://archive.trisquel.org/trisquel/ aramo-security main
deb-src https://mirrors.middlendian.com/trisquel-packages/ aramo-security main

It doesn't seem surprising that the Ubuntu repo doesn't have ecne packages (https://ports.ubuntu.com/ubuntu-ports/dists/), but why is the Trisquel upgrade tool using that repo?

In case it's relevant: I installed using the Trisquel Mini ISO for ppc64le.

do-release-upgrade is a tool only supported so far for amd64, there is an issue open to broad the support for other archs, but that will come later on.
Now that some important updates are building, I'll give that a look in the coming days.

Hi Bernie,

This sounds identical to the issue I have raised with using do-release-upgrade on the armv7h architecture.
