Security for adding user to video and input groups

I installed brightnessctl to control screen brightness with XF86 keys in a sway config file. Works fine.

I read some posts about security with adding users to the input group with respect to keylogging. Nobody uses the machine except me. But I want to implement good practices.

Can anybody recommend some reading, specifically about these groups, but also about group management in general?
